MY TOP 5 FILMS TO WATCH AT HALLOWEEN

One of my favourite things to do during Halloween is watch my favourite films! I'm not a fan of typical horror films as I sometimes think they're a bit in your face but that's just me! So here are my ultimate films to watch around this time of year.

Coraline
Okay I don't care what y'all say Coraline is so scary! It's hard to remember sometimes that this is a children's film. The Other Mother is what nightmares are made off and she tries to coax Coraline into giving up her old life and starting new in the "perfect" world she has created. I'm not going to say too much in case you haven't seen it but this film will leave you with a deep fear of buttons.

The Addams Family
I like to think of myself as being part of the Addams family so this film is kinda a given. Wednesday Addams is my spiritual child and I have idolised her sense of style and determination since I was little. The majority of my Halloween costumes have been based on her and I just love this film so much! I will never get tired of this film and each time I watch it I fall a bit more in love with Wednesday.

Beetlejuice
Two words- Winona Ryder. Winona Ryder will forever and always be my ultimate crush and I have been in love with her since I watched Beetlejuice as a child. Lydia Deetz is my life and this film is simultaneously weird, wonderful, funny and slightly scary. Ya'll will know my love for this film if you follow me on Twitter as I petition weekly for this film to be put on Netflix.

The Nightmare Before Christmas
THIS IS HALLOWEEN. THIS IS HALLOWEEN. So my main reason for loving this film is this song, it's a song dedicated solely to Halloween and it's just perfection. I love the story this film tells and the character of Jack is so likeable and I feel like you really go on a journey with him to help him discover all about Halloween and who he is. It's a cute film.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Who doesn't love this film?! This film for me just sums up what Halloween is all about- being a little bit weird. I love how weird this film is and it took me a few watches to really appreciate it in all it's strange glory. Tim Curry is such an incredible actor and all of the songs are just fantastic. Please if you've never seen this- just watch it.

I'd love to hear what your Halloween film recommendations are!
