WHY I LOVE HALLOWEEN

So it's no surprise by now that I love Halloween! Halloween is less than a week away and I'm so excited but also kinda sad that Blogoween is nearly over :( I've loved sharing all about my favourite holiday with you and I hope that I've made y'all excited for Halloween. Today I thought I'd share with you why my love for Halloween is so strong!

"I myself am weird and unusual"
To quote my Halloween queen Lydia Deetz, I feel like this is the time of year where I get to be my true self with a less judgement. I have always known I was a lil bit weird- I was a strange child you didn't have a lot of friends and growing up I always felt like I didn't really belong. I noticed this more when I was a teen, when I didn't have a lot in common with my friends and other kids would often comment on how I was "weird" or "different". Whilst I've completley accepted my quirk and uniqueness, some people still don't get it. I spend a lot of my time worrying about how others perceive the I act and dress and whether they too think I'm "odd". Halloween is the one time of the year where I feel like my weirdness is more acceptable and I'm not as worried to be truly strange and live out my gothic fashion dreams!

Letting my creativity flow.
I've always been creative- ever since I used to create fictional stories for my barbie dolls to play out (heads up- it usually involved death or disaster). I love imaging the different possibilities of the world and creating new things (hence why I have a blog!). Halloween is my golden opportunity to create new and exciting things! Blogoween has been so much fun and I have loved exploring the creative opportunities that have arisen because of it! Each year I make so much effort with my costume and I love exploring new ideas. Not to brag but this years costume is my favourite one ever and I can't wait for ya'll to see it!

Halloween combines everything I love and everything that makes me who I am! I love being different and a lil weird- Halloween makes me proud of that. Everyone needs to embrace their inner freak some times and have fun doing it!

I'd love to know what it is you love the most about Halloween? Or if you don't- I'd love to know why?
