FINDING MY PERSONAL STYLE

Speak to any one of my friends and they will probably tell you that I am pretty much unrecognisable from the person they met in first year. I think it's safe to say that my personal style has undergone quite the transformation over the past three years. When I first came to uni I wouldn't say I really had or even knew what a personal style was. Over the summer after first year, I went through a bit of an identity crisis.

A VERY GOTHIC FLATLAY

Okay so you may have noticed one of the more cliche blogger things that is missing from my blog is flatlays. They are a bloggers best friend, but I'm not a fan! It's not that I don't like them, it's that I always worried they didn't fit with my blogger style.

OOTD: WEARING MESH

Lately, I've been buying and wearing a lot of mesh. I would say my style is inspired by the grunge/ punk/ goth look so mesh has become a key staple in my wardrobe. When wearing mesh I always worry about showing too much flesh (hey, that rhymed!).

GOTH GIRLS ON TOUR

My last post featured the lovely Jess who I finally got to go and meet last week. I wanted to write a separate, more chatty summary post to talk about what I got up to and gush about meeting with my goth bestie.

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL GOTH GANG

Have you ever met someone and just realized that they are your soul sister?! I am so lucky to have found my goth sister Jess (heartshapedbones)! I got to go and meet my Hallowqueen last week and it was incredible (there will be a separate post about my visit really soon!). So what do two goth bloggers do when they get together? They put on a shit ton of velvet and dark lipstick, go out into the freezing cold and shoot a look book together!

MY EVERYDAY LOOK

So I'm back with another makeup post. I love putting my makeup on and it's the one thing I looked forward to doing everyday. My everyday look is kind of grungey and I feel like I've gotten to a look that I'm happy to wear every day.

OOTD: METALLIC SKIRT

I love keeping up to date with the latest fashion trends. I love fashion and all things to do with clothing and style. Whilst I don't always tend to follow the trends, I like to take items that are on trend and give them my own lil twist.

STICKY HEELZ REVIEW

There is nothing more frustrating than wanting to wear your favourite shoes and then your foot slipping out the back! Being a 6 1/2, I find buying shoes really challenging because the 6 are too small and the 7 are just a tiny bit too big. The last thing anyone needs when walking is the constant worry that their shoe is going to fall of their feet!

MY WEEK OF SELF CARE

I feel like a lot of us can identify with not doing enough to actively look after ourselves. There is always something I put before my own self-care: work, other people, running this blog. Last week I decided to take the week to completely look after myself and see if it was really that hard to fit self-care in. I had the week of from uni and I was the only person in the house all week, so this was the golden opportunity to truly immerse myself in self-love and I learnt quite a bit.
