What are you looking for?
31 May 2017

It's time for another favourites post! I've really been enjoying creating this posts- looking at what I've been buying and my highlights for the month! May has been a pretty damn good month for me and I feel like I've done so much!

Primark Underwear
What a surprise, I brought more underwear from Primark this month! I just cannot be tamed in the underwear section! This month I picked up a really cute light blue set, a black mesh set because you know I may as well carry on my addiction to mesh into my underwear and this super cute satin "granny" set. I use the word "granny" loosely because I think this kind of underwear is the best! I am a fan of the big pants- they're comfy, cover everything I don't want on show and are hella sexy! Yes to the return of "granny" underwear. I honestly feel like I will probably wear this on the weekend to lounge around in- it's too cute not to be on show!

Red Bodysuit
I initially saw this bodysuit, wanted it and thought nah I can't pull this of! I think the idea of wearing colour always scares me because I'm so used to dressing head to toe in black! I've been really into bodysuits recently and this one gave me the ultimate Baywatch babe vibes. I couldn't get it out of my head so the nest time I was in town I picked it up! Okay so I'm no Pamela Anderson and will never look as good as the Baywatch cast but I love this bodysuit so much! Now the weather is warmer, I've been pairing this with a pair of high waisted shorts and I just feel pretty cool.

Barry M Liquid Lipsticks
This month I had a post that featured these beautiful liquid lipsticks I brought from Barry M. They have been my go to lipstick this month and are the perfect nude shade. If you want to see the full review, you can read it here. I really do hope that Barry M bring out more colours because I want to own them all.

Turning One
So this month Midnight and Lace turned one! This was such a huge moment for me this month! I can honestly say that blogging has changed my life in ways I never thought it would. I didn't think I would have the determination to stick it out this long but I am so glad I did! It still amazes me that you haven't gotten bored of me yet and still listen to me rambling on about my life! I wouldn't be able to do what I love without you, so a huge thank you to each and every single one of you!

Finishing Uni
I hit a huge life milestone this month- I finished university! I have now finished an amazing three years away at uni and will (hopefully!) be graduating in July. Being at uni has been the best and worst time of my life! I've changed so much as a person and had to deal with some of the worst experiences of my life but I did it! I have a lot of mixed emotions about finishing uni. In a way I'm glad it's over because my university weren't exactly helpful at times and I feel like I'm just ready to get on with my life and do the job I love. At the same times I'm absolutely gutted and heartbroken I won't be able to day drink during the week, go to Quack or live so close to my best friend and coolest gal I'll ever know Charlotte! I'm going to miss living near her more than anything else!

Getting a Job
I am no longer unemployed! I repeat that: I am no longer unemployed! So this month I finally got a job in my dream school teaching my dream year group! I have been volunteering at the same school since I was 16 and it was the school that made me fall in love with teaching, made me want to be a teacher and where I completed my teacher training. Getting a job at this school meant so much to me and I honestly don't think I would have been as happy teaching anywhere else. I'm so proud of myself and after 20 years I finally have my first job!

So as you can see, I didn't actually buy a lot this month but I have had such a busy and exciting month! I will always remember May for being the month of many milestones!
Did you reach any milestones this month?
