NASTYGAL HAUL

Nastygal is a brand that has shot onto the scene and is quickly becoming one of the it brands to shop with. To be honest I hadn't heard much about Nastygal until the release of founder Sophie book 'Girl Boss' and now the recent TV show that details how the brand came to be.
I love love the story behind how this came to be and you know how much I love supporting #girlbosses so this was what attracted me to the brand. When I looked on the website I had in my head an idea that the clothes would be ridiculous expensive and would need to be shipped from the US so international shipping would kill me. I have no idea why I thought this but I was dead wrong! The clothes were a really reasonable price and there was a promo on for 25% off plus free delivery! I am a girl that is tempted by the idea of free delivery, especially when I realised it was next day delivery! Be still my beating heart. So I decided to take the plunge and make my first order with Nastgal.

Red Vinyl Skirt
You may have seen in a previous post that I had brought a skirt similar to this from Zara... well it no longer fits. I am absolutely gutted because it was such a statement piece but it's now too big for me and I have been looking for a replacement for about two-three months. Well hello perfect replacement! This skirt is similar to my Zara one and if anything the colour is brighter from this skirt. It has reminded me why I love a good PVC skirt and it fits so well! The sizing is very true to size and this skirt is a medium and fits me so well (I'm a 10/12). However, the quality isn't the best and I know it's PVC but it does feel pretty cheap, plus there is no label or washing instructions...

Black Vinyl Coat
Okay so I have a thing for plastic. I have fallen in love with the PVC trend. There's just something about plastic vinyl that screams rock 90s to me and I just love it. I know it's slightly insane that I brought a coat in May but how could I not?! This coat was the most expensive thing I brought from Nasty Gal and without the discount I don't think I would have brought it. Now don't get me wrong it's a lovely coat but it doesn't feel like a coat so I am a lil skeptical on how dry it would keep me in the rain. I would say this is definitely more of a fashion coat (great to style, limited practicality) that I'm excited to style but I wont be relying on this in the rain and I'm skeptical as to how much I'll wear this, if I'm honest it will probably sit in my wardrobe for the rest of my life...

Navy Culottes Playsuit.
Culottes have been a trend I am fully on board with! I love the comfy practicality of wearing them and they look so incredibly cool! I'm back working in school for a few weeks and will hopefully be teaching full time in September so this is a typical work outfit for me. When it comes to dressing for work I am always torn between wanting to look professional and wanting to be myself. I will never dress to anyone else rules. I feel like this playsuit combines the two sides of my style- the work me and the true me. I love wearing this with a striped tee and it's just so comfy and stylish at the same time.

I really like the playsuit and I do like the clothes I got from Nasty Gal. Do I think it's worth the money? Probably not. Am I going to shop there again? Unlikely. I was a little disappointed with my order and think that you can get the same if not better quality clothes from other shops, probably for cheaper.

Have you ever shopped with Nasty Gal?

Till next time,

  2. You're right, you can get similar clothes elsewhere for a more reasonable price. Having said that, the navy playsuit looks amazing on you.

I love how bold and confident you are with your style.

  3. I haven't shopped with them, but I am seriously loving the Netflix series right now, learning about the story behind the business. That red skirt is AMAZING! That being said, I agree you could probably get similar clothes at a better price point somewhere else.
