OOTD: OVERLAY DRESS

A trend I have been seeing everywhere is the mesh overlay dress. Now you know ya girl loves wearing mesh and I have a few mesh dresses including this maxi dress. I'd never thought to pair it with some jeans before because I was a little skeptical as to how it would look. Even after putting this outfit on and taking these photos I was still unsure on how it looked and whether it just made me look like a bit of a fool! But after spending an hour or two in it I was totally into this!

I love experimenting with fashion and trying out outfits and trends that I'm unsure of. For me fashion is all about taking risks and getting out of your comfort zone. This outfit involves a lot of what I would usually try to avoid- the crop top, sandals and a new trend that I'm unsure of. Embracing what I usually try to hide has only increased my confidence and I look pretty bomb in these photos! I'm so glad I took a risk with this outfit because I love how it looks and how these photos turned out!

So one of the things about living back at home is that I have now been reunited with my dog Coco. I love her to death but she is a pain in the ass when I try to take blog photos because she's such a fussy dog! She's just like all the ladies in my household- an attention seeker. So she likes to sneak her way into my photos and make herself the centre of attention. She's such a little model doggy.

Mesh dress- Urban Outfitters // Tee- Zara // Jeans- Dorothy Perkins // Sandals- Docs

Just look at this dog! She is making this all about her and being a true model dog, I couldn't be more convinced that she is my pooch... I feel like we are definitely channelling Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith vibes here!

The more I look at this outfit and wear it, the more confident I feel wearing something a little bit outside of my comfort zone. I feel like this outfit has a really cool girl edge to it and I can't wait to wear this more as the weather gets better.

What outfit/ piece of clothing have you thought was out of your comfort zone and then ended up loving?

Till next time,
