What are you looking for?

Really showing some love for my favourite film this week! So this is going to be another Beetlejuice inspired post, this time thanks to the most incredible pair of trousers in the world! I have been after a pair of striped trousers for so long and I think I have finally fount the perfect pair!
It is no secret that I love the film Beetlejuice! I have lost count of how many times I have watched this film and this week I even got a tattoo of my favourite quote from the film. I am a huge Tim Burton fan, I think his directing style is so unique and just takes the dark and gothic and turns it into beautifully twisted pieces of visual art! Beetlejuice being one of my favourites. If you have read the post I wrote about my tattoo (you can read it here) then you will already know why this film means so much to me. I fell in love with this film and how different it was to anything I had ever seen, it was so weird and unusual and that captivated me! I love the characters in the film, especially my Hallowqueen Lydia Deetz. This film taught me to embrace the strange and unusual, to embrace myself and who I am and to never feel like I should be trying to hide that.

So, onto the trousers. I can't help but think of Beetlejuice when I wear these trousers and I think they really complete my gothic style. I have been on the hunt for a pair of striped trousers after seeing others wear them and falling in love! I am the kind of person that once I become fixated on an idea, I won't stop until I achieve it, but I also won't settle for anything less than the vision in my head. I knew exactly what I wanted these trousers to look like and these tick all of my boxes- what's better is that they were from Boohoo and only cost me £20!?! I couldn't refuse and I am so glad I now own these beautiful trousers! I have not stopped wearing them and they have quickly become one of my favourite items of clothing! I love how they fit so well with my personal style whilst not being completely black- which is pretty much the only colour I wear!

In true Beetlejuice fashion, we ventured to the abandoned ruins of a church to shoot this outfit and I loved the location! I find history so fascinating (I'm a nerd) I love looking at abandoned places and wondering how it happened and what it was like before. It fascinated me to be able to look at all the gravestones and wonder about the people who are buried here- what was their life like? How did they live? How did they die? History is all around us and I loved being able to explore the ruins. I also tried something new with my editing, as I really wanted to add to the gothic vibes of this photoset so I hope you like them!

Trousers- Boohoo // Bodysuit- New Look // Bralette- Primark // Hat- Primark // Shoes- Doc Martens

I really loved how these photos came out and this was definitely one of my favourite outfits to shoot! I would also just like to apologise for the awful state my roots are in haha! My hair is desperate need of dyeing but I graduate in 3 weeks so I'm trying to hold of until then! I'm a mess.

Till next time,
