What are you looking for?

This is equally the most basic and best title I've ever had for a blog post. I couldn't not use one of Ari's lyrics as it perfectly sums up the whole point of this post - my new hair.

For as long as I can remember I haven't been happy with my hair. I've been in a permanent battle with my hair for the past few years and it was around this time last year that I made the incredibly irrational decision to cut all of my hair off. I instantly regretted how short I cut it and have spent the past year slowly (and painfully!) waiting for it to grow. Over the past few weeks, I've really noticed how much it grew over that time but it still wasn't ever going to be the length I really wanted it to. I've got naturally pretty thin and fine hair so the longer I attempted to grow my hair the thinner it looked. I have been so envious of people with long thick hair for so long and have always wanted to have long thick hair myself - mainly so I can feel like the ultimate goth queen because lets face it that's what I'm aiming for here. I haven't been able to stop thinking about my dream hair especially since I did a shoot with a wig I have a while back and just wished my hair looked like that all the time. So, after a lot of research and thinking about it for a while I made the decision to get micro bond extensions.

For me, micro bond extensions were the best for me to get because they seemed the most long lasting whilst also being the best for ensuring my natural hair doesn't get damaged. The thing I love about micro bond is that you treat them like your real hair and the maintenance is really simple! I also can't believe how unnoticeable the actual bond is - you can't see it which means I can still wear my hair up without anyone knowing I have extensions in! So, the thing about having micro bond extensions is that they are pretty pricey and I have paid around £600 overall for mine. I have been saving up for this for a while and the package also included - getting the extensions fitted with blow dry and styling, the brush you need to use, shampoo and conditioner, complimentary blow dry and styling during the life of the extensions and the removal of them. People thought I was crazy for paying that much for hair but it has been something I have wanted for so long and the salon I went with allow you to split the cost across the lifetime of the hair which means they aren't as pricey. I went with the salon MHAIR extensions as I was super impressed with their service and photos I saw on social media so I booked in for my consultation and then booked for my appointment a few days later. This was my first trip to a hair salon and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Overall, it took around 2 hours to fit the extensions and I couldn't believe how much hair was being applied to my head. The extensions were applied in stages and layers on my head so that there was an even distribution of the hair to give it a really natural look. I couldn't believe how good they looked when they were finished. I instantly fell in love with my hair and after waiting for what seemed a lifetime for my dream hair, I couldn't wait to show it of.

I couldn't be happier with my new locks and love having long, swishy hair. It's made me feel like a completely new person and has given me the confidence I never knew I had. I am so in love with my hair and feel like I am now living my ultimate dream of looking like a Bratz doll. I am beyond happy with how these pictures turned out and I hope you like them as much as I do!

Till next time,
