What are you looking for?
9 February 2020

We may only be just under two months into the new decade and here I am already making bold ass statements. Well... I stand by it.
So, what am I referring to? These cord trousers of dreams. I have been after a pair of wide leg corduroy trousers for a while now and have been scouring the internet for a pair. I came across this pair on Bershka and fell in love, they were exactly what I was looking for, there was just one problem. They were now in the sale AND out of stock in my size. I was gutted, I had a strong feeling that they wouldn't be back in stock as they were now being sold for £17.99 in their end of season sale (RRP was £25). However, I kept my hopes up and kept checking the website and depop daily to see if my size would be back in stock.

I popped into my local TKMaxx recently and I have a love/hate relationship with this place. Our TKMaxx is fairly small so doesn't always tend to have the best stock available. Sometimes, I find absolute GEMS and other times absolutely nothing. I was checking the rails and was pleasantly surprised to find some of my favourite brands - Monki, Zara, Nobody's Child and you guessed it Bershka. I was actually on the hunt for a denim jacket, as I had mine stolen whilst on a night out recently (that is a completely different story altogether!) I was looking on the trouser rail when I came across... you guessed it. The cord trousers of dreams, and they were in my size! It was fate and I was so happy I could have shed a tear. But the best part of all of this was not that I had found the trousers I had been pining over for weeks BUT they were only £5.99! Cheaper than the sale price online. I felt like I had won the lottery, it was a perfect moment.

It's just amazing when you find something you have been wanting for a discounted price. So, whilst we may only be a few months in to the new year and the new decade. I feel like I have already found the bargain of the decade. I am in love with these trousers and knowing I got them for such a low price as well, was just the cherry on top!

Black Cord Trousers - Bershka at TKMaxx // Neon tee - The Ragged Priest // Trainers - Buffalo London

First time I've worn my Buffalo's in a while and I forgot how deceptively tall they make me look (I'm only 5"5 guys). These trousers are so freaking cool and I'm so glad I finally managed to get my hands on them. I've also been experimenting with this casual style for my photos and it is really helping to bring back my blog mojo!

Till next time,

  1. They really are off-the-charts fantastic - while also giving me hope that maybe, just maybe, we'll see a return to a wider number of non-ultra skinny legged pants return to store shelves again. I'm not throwing shade on skinny pants and jeans, they're just not my fave for my own figure and while I do primarily wear dresses and skirts, sometimes a gal needs (or wants) pants and these would seriously fit the bill on that front for me as well.
